I am optimistic about this.. but These are all concepts and new tech.. unless they have a production model and released to the market, this is just a news item..  3-4 years back 550 miles range electric car annaru.. it is nowhere to be seen..

With respect to Tesla - One thing that people are missing or ignoring is ... Tesla has the most cars on road, most driving data which it can monetize, driving patterns, issues. 

Disclaimer - I am not invested in Tesla. Only coz I don't trust Elon as CEO. Hez a great businessman but a worst CEO and his worst enemy.

I said this before..

It's not always the best technology that wins.

First go market , existing infra , billions in the bank all helps.

Traditional automobiles in USA  have lost it over the 10 years or so. They abandoned cars , went after short term profits and didn't invest in EV or even technology.

Tesla and newer EV car infotainment is miles ahead of rest.

Volvo realized and gave it to Google - better to do that than invest millions in it.
