I went there. Just as a guest. was barely there for couple of hours on two days - as no chairs nothing. My observations :

a) It was way overcrowded. No ticket enforcement. I dont know if organizers deliberately oversold or too many free loaders came.

b) The meet was good for 50-60% of attendees - those who always came early - took their seats and wanted to listen to speeches and programs.

c)Hotel accomodation and shuttle from hotel to event was pretty good. No issues here - went smoothly.

d) Decent bunch of speakers.

e) good fund raising. 15 crore was raised for basavatarakam hospital with just 30 people. Noble gesture.

Inka NATA :

a) Even celebrities kooda aath care akkada. Food ledhu gaadidhi guddu ledhu.

b) No charitable fund raising. Instead they were brokering celebrites for sex work.

c) No line of distinguished speakers. All trash "businessmen" (real estate danda gatra). The entire self esteem of the organizers comes from having their caste fellows occupy political positions in india. No self achievements, no service mentality.

What are we trying to achieve with these events?? Local orgs use these events to bring the local community together.. but ee national level events valla emi labham undi?? 
Same feeling with Nata event also.. other than bring movie actors and politicians from India? Or benefit shoppers like @Sucker 😄

You underestimate community organization and it's strengths 

Sikhs form just 2% of Canada's population but they are extremely influential , same way Jews around 2.5% of US population but they are vastly more influential than even white americans 

Kammas and sikhs are the only indian communities that have a sense of unity in US , rest are all individualistic.
