The point I was trying to convey was - The turning point in the relationship between the two communities happened after 1990 riots and all trust was lost.

My teddy tag is my identity. I’m not proud of it but I can’t deny my roots either. I can become a Christian tommorow. But can I convert myself to yadav or goud? It’s not possible. It’s a fact. Anyways that part is irrelevant to this discussion.

btw I completely deny my roots. at the fundamental level. no, I'm not from what guys like you consider lower caste, never have experienced involuntary poverty or even lower middle class life. It was a conscious choice, with the goal being to avoid dumbfcuks in my life. giving up my caste and identity (I even changed my name) seemed the easiest thing for me to do.

so don't say its not possible.  you just need to aim for higher standards in life thats all.
