hiking bag depends on the distance. Usually 5-10 miles hiking bag is needed naaku ithae. But more elevation or longer than 10 miles bag is a must. I just use a pouch for lite hikes.

I am not a birdwatcher :D extra luggage for me!

A hiking stick is a must if hiking trails with stones or mountain trails/elevated. Esp. useful when hiking down mountains.

Our hiking trails are usually 5-8 miles. We use "all Trails" app and download the map before hiking for instructions in case we get lost. I forgot to mention protein snack bars or some quick snack.

I bought small HD binoculars on Temu. I like them. We often find Fox, cayotes on the trails.
