old homes ki bagane thaggaay uncle .. new new new ani pattukuni unte .. builder gaallu biscuit chestaru .. with increased % rates .. and those high property taxes .. affordable aithene dhigaali .. ledante life-long stress feel avvaali .. like i been saying .. now a days house has become a luxury, if u cant afford, dont buy it

Agree! Texas going to pass property tax relief bill anta this year. Homestead Exemption raised from 40 to 100k means more tax discounts for primary homes and there are some other benefits anta. Ma realtor gadu prices lestai malli ani cheptunnadu.. new constructions are doing really well anta.. old homes are struggling to sell currently

Everyone has a different definition for enjoyment and peace of mind . I have a friend vadi illu eppudu chusina ippude cleaners votchi clean chesinattu untadi ... He is always busy cleaning his home yard etc ... and thats his life and he is happy cleaning home and getting satisfaction from it .. can u say he is wrong .. no he is doing what makes him happy . Alage big homes make ppl happy let them be ... who cares or who knows what will happen after 30 yrs ..

Ala ani andaru ala untara no may be oka 30-40% of Desi population a category lo undhi, migilina 60-70% of population mostly influenced by these =~30 of population and peer pressure tho they start investing heavily personal loans tesukono or melaga second job or 3rd job loke raavatamo etc. Social presence & Socity situation aspect lo ela cheyakpothe or ela undakapothe you are not doing well annadi gattiga sentiment nadustundii , for example okappudu 100k is benckmark for a software engineer , now a days 200k base lenidhi you are a failure annadi mana desi circle lo chustunna oka common belief .

 

I personally know few people Bluffview or Travisso community lo peer pressure tho 250-300k just lot medha bidding vesina mahanubavvulu kooda unnaru. for example oka family starts planning to move out of some abc community , mellaga people around them starts comparing and e community gatherings lo wife group and husband groups separate ga brainwash session nadustadi mellaga everyone gets convinced to the idea of getting a new house which is 1 M or 1.5M ekkada comedy enti ante initial ga move iena family may be 600k sign chesi undochu papam migilinavallu adhe place lo 1M above petti mingipothunnaru .

Affordability is must, but commenting without knowing someone's affordability is applying your finances on others. 

Naku telisina oka family always bought big houses. First in Cali, sold and bought in Seattle, sold and bought in Austin and each time made 500k profit. This is in span of 10 years. So moral of story is don't assume my way is the best way or assume someone is buying something they can't afford just because we can't.

Antha struggle emi kanapadatle even for old homes kakapothe last year's lo laga not getting extra anthe. Ee summer lo pettina houses anni sold in my community.

No doubt, but rates won't decrease anukuntunna at least till end of year. Nannu adigithe good time to buy because you can get nice upgrades and incentives now if you're buying new home.

Texas lo Million dollar anedi chala common aeipoindi.. and newly married couples buying homes in 800K plus range.. In my opinion majority portion of the people buying have the good income and right planning to afford. 

however there are remaining portion of people who just buy with no financial discipline just to show off will could utterly go south when things shuffle like job change, lay offs, transfer to different city. 

Initial ga baney untadi.. but over the period of time with current interest rates.. kinda jaari potadi.
