I have downloaded an app, using it for a while.

Now the appstore delisted/removed the app from appstore.

i cannot find the app in applestore search or in my purchased app history.

since it was already in my phone, I can still see the updates in the app, or app is still working.

my questions are

how long app gonna work?

can the app owner/creator still have the data of mine?

how is the app updates/data gets updated usually on the app server side?

since i gave privacy permissions allow, can they hold the data? or app store dont give permissions since it was delisted?

please throw some insights on how these apps works?

Exactly bro. Till then users can use app services as per apple. Developer still get updates since the app already installed on the phone.

If the app developer/owner doesn't submit the updated version or the required update, app eventually gets deleted.

that timeline is not measurable it seems.

Just forget about the app. Search for a similar, better app, copy the data while you still have access to it and move on... App getting delisted is not a good sign of its future. If the app stops working and if they have a web version of their app, use it until you transition.

generally, the future of apps from small/indie developers is iffy - they could discontinue it anytime when the returns from it diminish or stop supporting newer O/S' (or if they get arrested/convicted for some crime or if they die) - their business model lacks continuity. Always choose apps from large companies with a huge following, track record, reviews and ratings for peace of mind. Apps that are on the store for many years with constant updates and good review/ratings are also fine mostly even if they are from indie devs. Stay away from apps that don't get updates for years (you can see the updates in the Version History on the app's page).

Yaa. It depends on lot of factors. If the app was deleted by apple because of security or policy breaches, it would have been removed from phones by now.

thanks for the explanation bro. I recently got to know that it got delisted and some of my personal information was shared there, and some of the features still accessible in the app.

So, I just want to know how the app owner receives information from the app user since apple delisted it

Also, its been four months the app got deleted from app store, even today i can use the features of app. So, i just want to know how safe to use the app and sharing personal information there

Yes bro, thats what i'm thinking. How safe to use and also want to understand the mechanism of how this works. like from my phone to app server how the data reaches and how long
