I have downloaded an app, using it for a while.

Now the appstore delisted/removed the app from appstore.

i cannot find the app in applestore search or in my purchased app history.

since it was already in my phone, I can still see the updates in the app, or app is still working.

my questions are

how long app gonna work?

can the app owner/creator still have the data of mine?

how is the app updates/data gets updated usually on the app server side?

since i gave privacy permissions allow, can they hold the data? or app store dont give permissions since it was delisted?

please throw some insights on how these apps works?

Have and then he give to extract the app to all

Yes bro, thats what i'm thinking. How safe to use and also want to understand the mechanism of how this works. like from my phone to app server how the data reaches and how long

if the app is still working, the dev has the same access to your data because the app is still accessing his server to store your data. Even after the app stops working, the dev will still have all your data on his server unless you remove it while you can.

got it.

i tried to delete the app from my phone, it says it will delete all the data. Do you think that will delete on app owner side also? or only on my phone?

Many apps store data on your iCloud account as key/value pairs in which case the data gets deleted (optionally) when you delete the app

Yes bro, i got it. If i delete the app on my phone, data gets deleted on dev side also? is my question. If yes, i can do it for once and no need to bother again.

thats not the case here. It is still working, so dev can see the updates as and when i use the features of the app.

with iCloud, the dev can access your data only through a working app (installed and authorized). If the app stops working, he won't have access to your app data stored on iCloud

if the app data is stored on his server (instead of iCloud), we would not know how the dev deals with the data when the app is deleted. I guess you have to delete your account with the dev's app/server or ask the dev to be sure

@Sanjiv just answer this one bro. I have an option to delete the app from phone. If i do that, the dev/owner cannot access my data -- true or not?

Data gets deleted on both sides or not? If not, you think dev can still access my data?

understand bro. That dev is not reachable. so that part is not in our hands. As the app gets deleted when OS update or so. eventually everything gets gone i guess.

For apps that store data on iCloud, Apple deletes the data too while deleting the app.

if data is stored on dev's server, data won't get deleted because people may delete an app to recover space on their device or install it later and re-login to access the data. If there is an option to delete your account, delete the account before deleting the app. In this case, app is just a client software. An example is Gmail app - deleting the app won't delete your email data or account.
