Good point of view. I can also add that it makes for new managers to take decisions against non performing emps or emps in insignificant roles.

Mostly applicable to managers.. IC’s ki generally reorg impact undadu.. but managers take their pet developers wherever they go.. the idea is to bring in fresh ideas to the teams and make it better.. but it causes lot of friction between devs and new managers..

Not always. Sometimes they need to reduce the redundancy in mgmt. and some times they do re-org for the sake of finance book keeping. For example one org is making good amount of money while other is not, they will move some projects under org 1.
 

maa company lo last 1yr lo 3 re-orgs. I was positively impacted first time and negative for the other 2. Theu could have done just one major re-org instead but could have been very hectic.

Its mostly because of their ability and "a known devil is better than an unknown angel". Agree that it usually causes friction in teams.
