Any city in the world comes with a max limit of money with which one can enjoy in a day.

Sometimes it is more comfortable to travel in metro than a cab in Hyderabad. Similarly there is no guarantee that a 100$ pizza tastes better than a 10$ pizza in NY.

What really matters is having friends, good weather and a better social culture.

Yeah people who subscribe to conservative attitudes and are okay with being surrounded by hindutva dumbfucks will be happy in India.

For the rest India is not an option. It impossible to be friends with sanghis. Even relatives with sanghi behaviour

You talk as if you lived with sangh supporters ... every one India has some kind of extreme political opinion.

I tried living in every level of India for more than 6 months in each type.. including in low income housing areas, and found that I don't connect with anyone. Neither with dravidian trash nor sanghi trash.

my experience in India left a bad taste in my mouth. closed minds, reactionary tendencies, tendencies to authoritarianism, and literally no free liberal space that you can escape to. Leftists in India are the worst. Thank god they don't have the power. Sanghi behaviour has penetrated deep into the Indian psyche, more so in the aspiring class.

I wish they all have horrible lives, and that India implodes. That's the thought I've carried for the past 2-3yrs now. until I finally got out of that mess.

metros, flashy malls, expensive cars, microbreweries, these are all immaterial to me. India is intellectual void. A place where all your energy will be sucked to please others around you, and to be careful of what you say lest it offends someone.

I can't ride my bicycle to every place, with all stupid flyovers blocking access to safe driving space for cycle riders. I came so close to getting run over by buses on flyovers multiple times. yeah even in North America, I won't live in some stupid city that demands I have a car.

I know India is improving and has the potential to be great. But I don't want to participate in that journey of India. And the more fascist scum like Modi and BJP are in power, the more I wish India just dies and saves humanity from embarrassment.

Living in India is completely out of the question for me now. I'd rather move to Venezuela or Mexico if things get bad here.

Entire India is sanghi now. You can't escape it even if you live in TamilNadu. Max you can punch a sanghi or two in the face in TamilNadu without serious repercussions. that's it.

no political opinion is as extreme as the sanghi one. It denies rights for 15% of the population. Fcuk them and Fcuk India.

extreme radicalism is good. extreme sanghiness is just yuck.

I didn't find pockets of extreme radicalism in India.. carrying guns and shooting people doesn't count as radicalism, btw.

people are so close minded and act like sheep, that you have to feel sorrry for them, until they act in some unhinged way.

India is chaotic, and that's the entire point about the country. For those who want comfortable life India is not the place. But will never be another Venezula (country full of oil resources) or Mexico (country full of cartels and violence). One could say India is resourcefully "liberated"

India is not chaotic. I wish India was that, I would have loved India then.

India is conformist. behind the mask of outward chaos, every Indian lined up to listen to dumbfcuk Modi when he asked them to stay indoors for just one day to 'fight the corona' on 22nd March 2020.

I was out that day. and traveled as far as raipur. It took me 15 days to get back to Chennai after that. hitching rides and costs me about 10k rs. Yeah I can live in India if I just go through life without letting experiences stick with me. I can freely talk to people, make jokes.. I've met plenty of kind strangers who would offer me food, shelter for nothing in exchange in my travels.

the only constant in all these experiences are that India is extremely conformist. No one wants to challenge orthodoxy, and accept their station in life. I have nothing but pity for them. Including people who offered me free food and shelter, which I gladly took.

I can't live with them though. I'm born free. India is not a free nation. It is shackled by its orthodoxy just like China is. tough ride for both these nations.

A  radical activity I used to remember from my younger days was kids in slums in Chennai being way too fashionable and cool with bizarre haircuts and styling.

all that creativity is now beaten out with useless middle class uncles and aunties joining hands to socially boycott them. In some cases even throw them in jails for simply having these haircuts. Now they too want to just land an IT job and move to the latest special conclaves when they can afford it.

wtf. No wonder Indian upper class took to startups to avoid interacting with these kids.

most of them are dalit kids with ambedkar photos in their pockets. Today even Ambedkar has become a vehicle in India for communal politics. with a few notable dalit leaders freely pouring venom on dalit christians and dalit muslims. Every movement in India will eventually be gobbled up under the sanghi umbrella. Even dravidianism.

Indian job market is not that competitive. especially given your caste, you'd be making very high salary in India.

you'll be a startup founder with atleast $10m funding in India. succeeding in India at this point of time for uppercaste privileged people is way too easy. too many dumbfcuks are CEOs, rolling in cash.

It won't be easy in the future.

Well doing standing in solidarity doesn't mean dumbfuckery or support to Modi, covid was harsh on the entire Indian population. In that case, all candle light vigils and dead people rituals are dumbfuckery.

Sometimes everyone has to sit through ton of stuff they don't like and wait for the dark days to pass by, it's called survival.

It's easy to say when you have options to live elsewhere.

For me, living through hardships and living with morons is a way of life. But living through cheaters is a different thing. Indians don't question because they are already neck deep in day-to-day hardwork. If you're privileged enough, take on the big heads. Else go with the flow. That's India
