@TRUTHSEEKERProve me wrong lite bro! Here is my opinion. I don't think money is the only criteria for many. Sure we all have come here for money but after a certain time (once wealth is accumulated for ones well being), lot of other factors play a key role - 

Pro USA: (disclaimer: in most cases) Following are the reasons I think someone would like to stay in USA

1) If they are here for considerable amount of time (say 10 and beyond), they get used to the lifestyle here and prefer to stay back here and visit India for month or so to enjoy the time off.

2) Possible that spouse and/or kids don't want to move back.

3) Daily life is less chaotic and easy in comparision (patriots eskokandi)...commute, pollution levels, convenience with banking and governance related tasks etc

4) May not have strong bonds with family back in India.

and many more

 

Pro India:

1) Have a big family and social circle you want to stay with badly.

2) Satisfied with what they have earned in US and clear about their life style goals. 

3) Who can manage to not "bothered" by comparing with others and live their own life

4) Who wants to pursue politics, movie production (mostly desi consultancy mestris)

5) Who doesnt fit in here because of their mindset (may the stay is shorter or looking for bigger social circle)

and many more.....

 

Just to summarize, there are pros and cons in every country and each individual's life style and mind set play a big role in determining whether they want to go back or not. (Money could def. a factor but would not the only factor as you age)

Work culture is the best in USA if you work directly for the client. Not Indian company or as a consultant but a US company. I have learnt a lot working with diversified people. Your skills improve and personality develops as well.

Once you get married, its not your decision anymore. You need to consult with your wife. Once you have kids, its still maneageble to move to India by the time kids are in 4-5 grades, but with each year it gets difficult. After kids get to middleschool its very difficult. 

Your estimate of 25-30 is perfect if you can do.

Labor shortage, too much debt, high Healthcare expenses and routine life.

You have to do every single little thing in US.

India will give you better social life and much better help.
