During gandhi parivar - gandhis will wine and dine in foreign countries marrying thellas but farmers were not allowed to export rice or indian not allowed to move money or trade was restricted.

Now it seems to be back again :

a) 20% penalty on taking money out of india

b) banning rice exports because of just 3% hike in rice

c) Not joining RCEP despite invitation which would have allowed our people cheap access to east asia goods- the largest manufacting region of the world.

c) full encourage to crony capitalists like ambani-adani to import/export and foreign investment while restricting ordinary indians.

There is enough rice in india. Price control must be done through better distribution and inventory not restricting business oppurtunities for farmers.

Why dont they then ban iron ore exports or car exports or diamond exports or ESPECIALLY refined petrol exports by ambani ? why only farmers ?

B.V. Krishna Rao, president of the Rice Exporters Association (REA) said a government move to increase paddy procurement price had been pushing up rates. "But, the government is holding more stocks than needed for welfare schemes. There is no need to restrict exports," he told Reuters.

if farmers had any brain, they would not have opposed farm laws

now they can suck it up

food security is important for India, remember the fact the BJP lost Delhi due to onion price increase and they have never recovered again

Antha scene ledhu. It shows your contempt and hatred for farmers.

Most rice growing farmers are small businesmen - they cannot form cartels and control price. antha scene unte mothham situation vere laaga undedhi.

The people who opposed the laws were punjabi farmers. Govt not only went back on laws already passed in parlaiment (NEVER happened before) but still supporting their basmati.

If govt wants political capital by controlling prices - should it not subsidize the prices by paying farmers their fair price and selling it in market ?

export ban means asking farmers to take hit.

Ambani sells oil from its refineries at international price to indian oil companies too. If govt wants people to pay less - it used to pay from pocket and call it subsidy.  But not ask ambani to ban exports.
