True ayivundachhu Bro but because of that atom bomb , now every dom dicky harry country has nuclear weapons ready and imagine if all of a sudden county X throws on country Y and then chain reaction happens across world...

atleast normal air/land wars loo they have breathing time here its instant smash of civilizations which is scary and unhealthy for human species and even rest of natural world..

US did bad thing by starting these nuclear weapons they just would have tried normal ways of handling japan max it would have got delayed... already germany surrended kada without need of atom bomb..

"happens" is not same as happened.

nuclear weapons have stopped WW3 till now, which is long time compared to time difference between WW1 and 2

Nuclear deterrence doesn’t work. Here’s why.

  1. We aren’t rational and we can’t read minds. For nuclear deterrence to work, all stakeholders must be perceived to act “rationally” and “predictably” but we know that’s not how people work - particularly in the fog of war.

  2. Nuclear weapons don’t keep the peace. History shows that the existence of nuclear weapons has done nothing to prevent the many terrible conflicts since 1945, including acts of aggression against countries with nuclear weapons. In reality, nuclear weapons haven’t been used due solely to good luck – which cannot be expected to last forever.

  3. Nuclear weapons make conflicts worse. The 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine highlights how any of the 9 nuclear-armed states can threaten or use nuclear weapons to limit the capacity of other states to respond.

  4. Nuclear deterrence makes nuclear use more likely because the threat of use of nuclear weapons must be credible, and so the nuclear armed states are always poised to launch nuclear weapons.

  5. Nuclear weapons are useless for today’s threats. Nuclear weapons are strategically useless to address the actual security threats facing nations in the 21st century, including climate change, terrorism and cyber attacks.

No baa...asalau manushulalo antha kroorathvam vuntundha anipisthundhi neeku WW-1 and WW-2 attrocities choosthe.

Both pre-war and post-war attrocities are so disheartening, you will definitely shed tears reading or watching on YT and occasionally feel ashamed of being born as human yourself.

Those which I did deep study are: WW-1, WW-2 and Partition of India.

Imagine: everyone in the family from 6-80 years getting rafed by a group of beasts in front of male members of family, finally getting killed - humiliation in unimaginable ways..

I am Up for full-fledged Nuclear armaments for every country -- poothe mottam matta kudisipooni but ultimate human suffering like mass rafes and mass killings should never happen.

What about environmental impacts of Nuclear weapons ?  Manam povadam matramee kaadu other species also will largely be impacted..

remember chernobyl disaster ? konni generations kodutundi baa...

inka Manhattan project gurinchi today's article loo ela rasaaru

Quote

A new study, released on Thursday ahead of submission to a scientific journal for peer review, shows that the cloud and its fallout went farther than anyone in the Manhattan Project had imagined in 1945. Using state-of-the-art modeling software and recently uncovered historical weather data, the study’s authors say that radioactive fallout from the Trinity test reached 46 states, Canada and Mexico within 10 days of detonation.

Trinity test “downwinders” — a term describing people who have lived near nuclear test sites and may have been exposed to deadly radioactive fallout — have never been eligible for compensation under the 1990 Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA). It has provided over $2.5 billion in payments to nuclear workers in much of the Western U.S. and to downwinders who were located near the Nevada test site and may have developed cancer or other diseases as a result of radiation exposure.

Census data from 1940 shows that as many as 500,000 people were living within a 150-mile radius of the test site. Some families lived as close as 12 miles away, according to the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium. Yet no civilians were warned about the test ahead of time, and they weren't evacuated before or after the test.

“The extent to which America nuked itself is not completely appreciated still, to this day, by most Americans, especially younger Americans,” he said.

asalu abnormal births and disorders ki radio active material contamination also may plays some role... who knows...

the word deterrence means protecting oneself from extinction, why would one worry about climate change when their survival is at stake

nuclear energy is the safest option available in the world today, it is another fact that there is not investment into recycling spent fuel

watch 13 days movie and see how having nuclear weapons stopped US and USSR to go full blown nuclear war

chillar russia-ukraine war doesnt mean anything, U S still does not have guts to get into full blown war with Russia for one just reason that it will go nuclear very quickly and best proof of deterrence to something much bigger that hasnt happened yet

Exactly that’s why Nolan made this movie, world is changed forever in both good and bad ways and Atomic bomb is the reason and Oppenheimer invented it. It’s a perfect story line man

Trinity Nuclear Test’s Fallout Reached 46 States, Canada and Mexico, Study Finds

In July 1945, as J. Robert Oppenheimer and the other researchers of the Manhattan Project prepared to test their brand-new atomic bomb in a New Mexico desert, they knew relatively little about how that mega-weapon would behave.

On July 16, when the plutonium-implosion device was set off atop a hundred-foot metal tower in a test code-named “Trinity,” the resultant blast was much stronger than anticipated. The irradiated mushroom cloud also went many times higher into the atmosphere than expected: some 50,000 to 70,000 feet. Where it would ultimately go was anyone’s guess.

The results show that New Mexico was heavily affected by Trinity’s fallout.

Oppenheimer controversy | I&B Minister Anurag Thakur demands explanation from CBFC

Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur has sought an explanation from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over an  “objectionable” scene in the film Oppenheimer that was released in India last weekend.

It is learnt that, taking note of the matter, the Union Minister has instructed that accountability with respect to the issue of certificate be fixed. The filmmakers may also be asked to remove the impugned scene.
