I keep away from political and religious posts esp online. I do talk on these topics with my friends. Sometimes we have conflicting views, debate for sometime and respect each others views. 

Its not possible online. You know where these discussions leads to and I do not want to lose my peace over it. Simple.

 if you keep away from such discussions, why did you decide to interject at my description of Modi and the people that celebrate him?

actually such discussions are only possible online anonymously where there's little consequence to what you say. If you have them offline, and you are a Modi critic, you may end up with a broken bone or even lose your life.

I refuse to believe people are having discussions on Modi in real life without breaking up with each other. And if there are such people, I wonder what else will they tolerate in their group.

what would you have said in 1939, if you lived in Germany, and people around you were enthusiastically supporting Jews being led off to concentration camps?

What about if you are a jew living in Israel now, being among friends celebrating bombing of Palestine settlements regularly?

I guess this is what normal people do. And that's why i'm happy I'm not normal. I'll never be. I'll always disrespect a Modi supporter wherever I can, and if I can't, atleast try to sabotage him/her. There's no way i'll be friends with such people. Its the least I can do.

here's how it goes. I state my moral position on Modi.

the opposing position is that Modi is not bad. you are not defending that position, and instead waste my time whistling in the air about 'respecting other views'.

I'm not even saying that the position that 'Modi is not bad' is indefensible. but if you don't want to defend it, you should do the basic courtesy of keeping your mouth shut. Not pretend like some enlightened person with a different opinion, which you won't share online, coz something something.

my response was to comment on karma about your post. Since you happened to have mentioned Modi, I responded to it. Replace Modi with any other politician and my response would have been the same.

I do not like any politician in india. Evadi bokkalu vallakunnai. 

I don't know what society you live in or what kind of friends you have. We have both modi supporters and haters in our group and sometimes these discussions get serious (in tone, not physicality). In the end we all go each others ways. These discussions are just as intense as Sachin vs Ganguly, one actress vs another actress. People are passionate about the people they like for whatever reasons.

so if I believe that since 'karma' didn't get Modi, and hence 'karma' doesn't exist, how is your response about how 'karma' is a perspective, the reasonable one?

if 'karma' is a perspective as you claim, then you should be okay with me choosing the choicest expletives for Modi and those that celebrate him. Unless you have info to prove that my opinion on Modi is wrong.

what sense does it make to claim that all politicians are the same, when I'm talking about this particular devil? I never said that other politicians are angels. Just this one is just mind numbingly evil, and those that support him are as well.

it just appears to me that you want to tell me off (in a nice way) that Modi is not that bad, and that there are other people who support him. But I've already declared that those who support him are complicit in his evilness. You just want me to shut up about Modi. But I can't.
