I'm sure you have modi supporters and modi haters in your group. but what do the modi haters think about Modi? Why do they hate Modi? that part is important.

most likely your friends who hate Modi, hate him for his lack of reforms, or for his silence during Chinese land grab or demonetization, or lack of growth etc. These things can be easily debated and disagreed with.

but if people hate Modi for his role in gujarat 2002, and for his extreme callousness in holding the highest office in India catering to the worst of communal thugs in his support base, and making life difficult for muslims in India, there's no way you can be friends with people who support Modi for all these.

so it depends on why your friends hate Modi.

Its impossible to be Indian now and cut off sanghi scum from your life. Its slightly easier for me because most of my friends are dravidian and somewhat tolerable (aside them being assholes about veganism), but still I have to interact with plenty of tambrams who are some of the most vocal modi supporters.

there's no way I open up on Modi with them and not expect to be boycotted. so it is I who has to wonder what kind of society you live in.

most likely all your friends, including you don't mind Modi, and are only disappointed with his economic agenda. I don't think you have modi haters in your group. For eg. do you have anyone in your group who wishes him dead? or even worse eaten by maggots? because that's hate. rest is just friends just having casual discussion on things that don't really matter to them.

what sense does it make to claim that all politicians are the same, when I'm talking about this particular devil? I never said that other politicians are angels. Just this one is just mind numbingly evil, and those that support him are as well.

it just appears to me that you want to tell me off (in a nice way) that Modi is not that bad, and that there are other people who support him. But I've already declared that those who support him are complicit in his evilness. You just want me to shut up about Modi. But I can't.

@baku_keku Hi, my opinion is almost similar to what @veerigadu and @Konebhar6posted. I absolutely loved their perspectives.

Karma is a complex subject and in IMO it perpetuates through lives/births. (at-least my belief) Its hard to really look back at our lives and say why something is happening to us though we didn't do anything bad deliberately ever.

So, go ahead and fight the battle (legally or through other means at your disposal) as long as Dharma is on your side. Let time decide the result. If you think, its causing unnecessary stress and stimulus in your life , not worth the follow up considering your family, work and health situation and if you can afford to leave it (as in its not going to change your life practically), please do so and move on......

 

end of the day nothing is worth your health and happiness of your family.....

 

remember....Karma is a b** and it always catches up

have you wondered how come you live well when possibly 80% of humanity lives in near poverty?

have you wondered what kind of luck that you hit on that you were born in a particular time to particular people that led you have a relatively comfortable life?

I think misery is the default. Happiness is the exception.
