She loves nature and hiking etc ba. She keeps bringing it up all the time. November lo thana birthday undhi. edho Surprise cheddham ani planning if everything works out.

Nee hitch rating entha? Also do you want a travel trailer or offroad camping trailer?  If under 5000lbs something like forest river nobo or rpod are good for travel trailer. For offroad lot of options available but they get expensive.

Rent on outdoorsy for a few days and see if you haven't. 

My 4runner struggles to do 65 with a 4000lb trailer so I gave up on travel trailer and picked up a rooftop tent.

There are lot of small trailers we can tow with mid size suv's bro but yes you need a full size truck to tow comfortably.

If you can Class B RV vans are better. You can buy used or buy new use it for few years also you can rent it when not in use. 
we have same idea but couldn’t execute it since we live in deep in Florida, just to get out of state border we need to drive 8 hours.

may be buy a roof top tent(good for 3 or less) and see if it works out before committing to a trailer. I got a Thule as a gift and have used it a dozen times with no issue.
