After retirement, if there are no contributions made into your PF account for three consecutive years, the account becomes inoperative. Once the account becomes inoperative, you will stop earning interest on it as well.

I think they take into consideration retirement age in india .. not sure if its 58 or 60. So until you turn 61 or 63, you should receive interest.

Yeah, I took, contact your previous company about the withdrawal.

Previous company ki bye bye cheppi more than 4 years...but I got uan and able to access the epf portal and passbook....and check my balance...

So far I got two types of advice. from people in india..

Advice 1 - don't withdraw, keep the money in account and enjoy 7-8% interest

Advice 2 - don't trust the govt,  any time they can impose any rule to restrict so withdraw money now..

If you don't do any transaction deposits or withdrawals in a 3 yrs span, the account is inoperable.

Did you withdraw small amounts?

How to withdraw from here.

first did you access to epf passbook…?

you need to have uan number…

then you need to ipdate your latest indian mobile number with aadhar…

then you can have access to rpf passbook

you can raise withdrawal request…from same online portal…

I logged into EPF portal using UAN.
I can see EPF contribution summary and can access my passbook from here.
