no leader can change this. If their model for urban land use comes from the US, the city is fcuked already. Impossible to keep up with requirements for drains that way.

Only hope is for people to start building for themselves outside the norms and using political muscle to regularize them later. sorta like Dharavi, but with much better political muscle.

obviously middle class doesn't want this. like all rules ramanujam uncles.

so they get the city they deserve. whether they like it or not.

2 months unna hyderbabad lo this time what I observed is crowd became 10x ..malls increased metro added and digital payments usage at peak people shopping like crazy all times..street food options perigayi...but public infrastructure inka degraded ..real-estate prices sky rocketed ..for the price we arr paying in uSA and quality of life day to day we are getting I felt USA is much best places..

 

Not sure few of my 2 decade USA friends left to India thinking what but I met someone who told me 30 ppl who went back to India in 2019 for good 25 of them returned back to USA for various reasons they could not survive in long run.. asalu hyderbabd ala indi undi aki new chusi pongi poyi back Mataram chachinatte ..kokapet lo lo asalu apartment rates ento ..10 to 15 vr anta for 2500 sft apartments..malli only inside gated community feels good bayataku Verte chetta almost traffic ite assalu oka car inko car touching distance lo driving ..sometimes scared of cabs driving ..definitely I won't be able survive here in long run..

I’m trying to recollect when was the last time Hyd’s roads were pedestrian friendly…..or for that matter of fact, which Indian city is pedestrian friendly except New Delhi ?

why so defensive?

you can simply agree with what he says. although he's wrong about being delhi being pedestrian friendly. Delhi is even worse than Hyderabad for pedestrians and two wheelers because of its wide roads, and a large part of jobs being available centrally within a 4km walk for most who can't afford to even pay for the bus.

I don't understand middle class guys who want respect above everything else, even a casual conversation.

You gave a very balanced and realistic view point. Enni buildings kattina manollaki aa basics maathram maaravu. Ade raccha, corruption, struggling for basic amenities and infra.
