its not a fact. there are several ways you are wrong in stating that as a fact. For eg. Hyderabad's wide roads prevent effective policing beyond some random catch and grab. people can always find ways to avoid that.

I offered a much better way to police traffic, but you seem insistent that Hyd is giving tickets to overspeeding and signal jumping, which all cities in India are doing now, is the better solution because it hits people's pockets. I'm saying just banning street parking will clear majority of the car traffic in the city. This is much easier to enforce that speeding tickets.

all cities are indulging in giving out speeding tickets. what is special about Hyd's law enforcement that make it better positioned than other cities to be successful with this.

Wrong quote cheyyaku. I lived in hyd during that time and drove on roads. I was college student and used to drive pretty much all city. I still drive on the roads every year on visit ani kudaa cheppa. Ainaa adi naa opinion. Indulo argument emundi. Idemanna debate aa?

its all the same thing. yeah you drove on those roads big thing. Bangalore was heavenly in the 90s with perfect small roads, and low traffic.

is that relevant to a discussion on the state of current road infrastructure in any city?

I have said it loud and clear. I am a practical guy and my expectations are realistic. I am Talking about what's going on in Hyderabad currently. And what can be done or will be done by Govt with in the traffic framework they put together. I never said its the right thing or the wrong thing.

But for me its not practical. But you can't stop ranting until I (or others) agree to your point. Why cant you understand the diff in opinion and move on? I agree they are good practical solutions in other places. But I am not GOVT or in GOVT to implement these. I understand if i am in a position to implement these and shutting down your suggestions. You yourself stated that these will not happen in India. That's exactly what I mean by being practical.

Govt will not ban street parking in hyd. When I say its not practical - I mean given the way our infrastructure (homes) is built and the way our politics operate, this will never happen. state govt will not do it coz of the way our homes in cities are built and fear of losing votes. You yourself said it wont happen.
