I stopped eating dinner and ate just fruits , my cholesterol went down.

If you reduce weight a lot of changes happen, try controlling diet to your regular routine.

Also applies to diabetes, I was prediabetic last year , this year normal level.

Fruits have lot of sugar . Prediabetic ki fruits are like sugar baam

Recent visit to doctor, my sugar levels were border, she suggested me not to eat watermelon. Other fruits are OK. I was surprised and asked her again - avoid watermelon or mango. She said watermelon. You can eat mango and banana or any other fruits.

I am not sure on this. I always thought melons have less sugars and fruits like mango/banana have more. I understand banana as it has lots of potassium and other benefits. Only thing i can think of when it comes to melons is qty. We may consume more Qty.

emo anna. My gut says watermelon is good for even diabetics. What I follow is unless someone is overweight or have any underlying illness, eat anything you want but in limits. Dieting kuda only to get to baseline and then eat anything you like with decent exercise.

maybe her logic was watermelon doesn’t contain good amount of fiber so she’s saying to avoid it

Since my sugar levels were border, she suggested cutting down sugar. I don't eat sugars much and fruits I eat moderately. But watermelon is my fav. I was surprised/shocked a bit about her comment. I asked her 2-3 times just to make sure.

Anyways numbers are down now. Not having a sweet tooth helped. I further cut down on carbs and moved to other options.

Appointment with nutrition would be good. An alternative would be looking at the food options Jenny Craig or similar Nutrisystem's provide and follow similar indian diet with similar Qty's.
