Agree man that is what attorneys are paid to prove, but hitting with stick after he is neutralized will be seen as little aggressive by the jury/judge.  I am not disputing that it is wrong but law says let them take whatever they want but don’t endanger yours or others life ani cheptunnadi. Police report file chesukunna taruvta you will need to access loses and file insurance

Insurance doesn't always pays you all and your risk profile increases.. making it ineligible for future coverage. some don't even have insurance if it's expensive in that area...

Agree, but you don’t fight the law of the land you try to live with it, now attorney’s aren’t going to be cheap either.

They are too dumb for that, even the fellow stealing all that stuff don’t know what to do with that. Probably will dump them in the thrash after carrying it for a bit

The Sikh guy is wrong in this case. He showed excessive force. Kyle Rittenhouse case ee teesukondi. He defended when he was attacked. It was an active situation. Malli tellodu. Vaadi case ee kashtam meeda bayata paddadu.

Ee situation worse. Easy kaadu. The only hope is the rich Sikh community uniting to get him out through judicial influence or out of court settlement. And that can happen. Sikhs help each other out, unlike us.

Yeah.. if they knew that they will get away without any punishment and they are getting free stuff, there is every incentive for them to rob everywhere…

earlier they used to rob only necessary stuff like food etc.. now they are stealing luxury goods

I sympathize with the owner but he was wrong in hitting the guy so much. Based on the words, it looks like the robber does it regularly. Looks like he took it granted this time and stealing more (that too openly) and sardarji must have been vexed/pissed off with it. Also it looked like robber was taking out a gun or a knife. So Self-protection comes into picture.

Owner was right until they got him pinned. One hit would have been OK, but he went overboard. Must have been a result of lot of builtup on previous incidents.

Care to explain how is it a case of self defense?
