A lot of things have changed now and inland and captive fisheries is a lucrative business now. Two decades back fisheries business was indeed like lottery..hatchlings, veterinary support and feed, storage and transport have improved a lot.

Andhra naturally is well suited for fisheries business but Telangana la oka development ayindi.

TG villages la gangaputrulu/bestha caste valla kula vruthi almost collapse ayipoindi but post 2014 rejuvenation of local tanks, fisheries department supplying hatchlings, organized feed, transport and storage facilities, ice factories etc and with in 3-4 years, things have changed so much so that Telangana villages la gangaputrulu are now minting money like they never did in their life time. Cash rich ayinaru vallu ipudu..

TG lo ne intha change vachindi ante Andhra should be miles ahead in this business.

East Godavari and Vizag lo chala famous fisheries business… especially prawns.. many people converted their agriculture lands to fishing ponds as this is more profitable than farming.. aquaculture and horticulture lo andhra has always been doing great..

TG should direct some farmers to aquaculture instead of growing paddy.. too much paddy doesn’t make them much money also.. fish ki Hyderabad area lo chala demand..

But what exactly did jagan do for this fisheries development....I mean any policy or GO..?

Andhra side fisheries are not new business and also it doesn't create wide opportunities like IT...

At a micro level, it’s happening already. Just that traditional agreements over tank rights have been with Gangaputras. But that’s changing slowly…other caste people do not have knowledge and training to venture into fish farming and that’s a hindrance.

Fishing and sheep rearing is paying rich dividends already, other will also slowly divert to alternate sources.

Nothing!!

This industry developed organically without the govt intervention.. developing gradually and in 15 years the yield quadrupled.. more and more people are converting their farming lands to fishery ponds..

Perhaps fisheries created more opportunities than IT would create in Andhra. There is a huge population who are unskilled, semi skilled and such sectors helps to empower such people. when a sector grows, it takes everyone along the growth path.

Jaggadu spent lot of money for fisheries development…modernized fishing harbors, provided loans to buy new boats, cold storages etc but the sector has been improving as a whole. Shrimp mida ban vunde, certain fish varieties were lucrative but susetable to diseases and improved quality of hatchlings among other factors.

This is Andhea’s strength. Amaravati virtual capital and IT dreams ani oka chetta alavatu chesinaru and development ante IT jobs ane mind set lo vunnaru…

Minimum investment to encourage this sector would have resulted in rich dividends, low cost to skill the labor, no need of education, readily available talent pool of labor and techniques…inni pettukuni chetulu kalchukunaru…

Fisheries and processed food units will be deadly combination…paisal ae paisal.

Krishna district is at the top, east godavari is second ,west godavari , Nellore are around the same

Vizag doesn't have much aquaculture but has a lot of exporters due to port , fishing harbour.

India is very backwards  in aquaculture because there is no reasearch being done , most farmers copy techniques from abroad.

If you really want to see the scale of aquaculture in Andhra ,use Google Earth and see the land 5 km from sea , it's filled with ponds from top to bottom

4. Seema beggars were driven out from Chennai. They are living as BC in Bangalore. Telanganiites fcuked and sent them packing home. All these places they were looting the local people's wealth. ippudu Coastal AP meedha paddaaru.. they will get the same treatment from here too..
