exactly same thing happened to me brother. state trooper stopped me and i told him if i stopped i would have blocked the way and he understood and let me go.

me case lo just go to the court and explain the judge same way. The officer might present and if at all judge agrees to your version, they remove points and ask to pay some charges etc. This might vary and absolutely discretion of Judge

Sheriff lu vastara court ki for this one. There was no accident or any. 
four junction adi. Sheriff was there left side to me at signal. I was taking left turn at signal after red become green and then yellow to red. 
 

sheriff daggara ilanti 4 junctions video ayithe vadi car lo undadu kada. He was also waiting for signal to go at other side. Asalu cops gallu vinaru mana explaination. Pedha pedha criminal gallanu vadilesi chinna chinna vati meeda padutaru. Yellow to red ala seconds lo avvagane turned, other three junctions lo vehicles move kooda kale inka.

If you request a court date and the cop doesn’t show up to court, the ticket will be dismissed. At least that’s how it was in TX 10 years ago

Jumping the signal is not a small thing kadha vuncle..it can cost lives too if you think logically.so stop acting like pathivrath, face the consequence..next time ki ina jagrathaga undu vuncle..andhariki safe.

Paying the fees is saying that you are guilty of offence.

Always hire an attorney, long time lo benefit untadi, you might come clean with attorney.

You are at fault here. Judge will not consider that. He will go with the sheriff's version. Your only hope is that sheriff does'nt show up.

A few years back a friend went to court to fight traffic ticket as he was not at fault. Judge said "I sympathize with you son, but state of CA needs funds now. Just pay and go"

To avoid points, edo course untundi kadaa? Ticket meeda details untai. Usually if you take that traffic course, they wont put points on your record.

You should have slowed down on yellow and stopped on red. Why would someone hit you from behind when there is a yellow?? Is that your explanation? Cops and judges have seen gazillion of such cases in their careers like blah... Your explanation won't be any different or new or creative to hold up. You would only embarrass yourself with that explanation.

In the US, a signal is a signal - you cannot try to justify your haste by saying, "other three junctions lo vehicles move kooda kale inka". Can you imagine passing a driver license test jumping the red signal like that? Can you imagine if everyone starts to think and act like that trying to rush like a rat race - and also honk at everything inconsiderately because YOU want to go first desperately and you think YOUR time is more important than anyone else's - it will become worse than India?? We cannot say, "Yes, I'm drunk but I'm driving very carefully" and win the case.

If everyone follows the rules, there won't be any need to employ cops and judges. Cops and judges are there for people who don't follow the road rules and endanger others' lives. It's not worth beating a signal - you will only endanger your life and other's lives. There is a system for a reason that works perfectly. If it's not ok for driver license test, it's not ok in any other situation.

The cop is right and the judge will be right too - you are not. Take it as a lesson and don't repeat it again. Just pay it and feel happy that it goes to "your" state's funds.

Perfect , I drive lot of highway , lot of impatient drivers who will tail gate you , doesn’t mean you have to drive unsafe 

also yellow is for slowing down , not for racing  to cross

If the cop shows up to court, there’s nothing you can do and it will be on record and insurance will go up as well. May be a good crooked attorney can get it off. 
 

Buy a dash cam to be safe next time,  it will be the proof if you’re innocent
