I think the reason our in-laws or parents push us to buy there is coz, they want us back in India or think we would come back. But we cannot blame them for our decisions to invest there. 

But only us know the reality. We are in trisankhu swargam. Neither here nor there. With kids growing up, and our earning potential at maximum, its difficult to leave here n go back.

Lots of other factors also influence our decision to stay here.

Reality emitante .. if u keep it locked and use it when u go there, things don't work properly like water pipes, generator, fridge, etc. Edo oka problem vastundi. Oka 1 week veeti repair lake saripoddi ..

onething is very clear to me .. invest where you live currently. 

Investing in india when you don't live there is not worth the hassle, you can trust very very few people in life with finances. And nothing in india works smoothly, yevado koncham kabza chesthey yem peekalem. for now you will have backing from , but slowly it will fade away. Getting your investment back to US is a nightmare.
