World lo largest ayn rand loving shits undedhi bay area lo nay. And people blame the govt for spending too much on social services.

They are spending too little, and giving away a lot of freebies to this ayn rand nut cult, who then pay reporters to write crazy stories about govt overreach

Apparently helping people get through a crisis in their life is overreach, when it should be the second most important job govt was elected to do, after maintaining law and order to protect the market

10yrs ago, these ayn rand loving sh1ts (like Peter Thiel) tried to create a sea steading city on a mega yacht and threatened to move there to live as 'free' citizens of that city.

obviously it was comedy of errors. People who moved quickly found out how 'free' such a city would be when a few people control access in and out of that yacht. Plus all the national security theatre that was forced on it.

so now they want to rid the city of the homeless by publishing trash opinion pieces like this, when the obvious solution is to build more public housing and homeless shelters and invest in drug rehabilitation.

The city of San Francisco released data last week showing that 55% of homeless individuals rejected shelter when offered it.. Many homeless prefer to live on the streets where they can freely use drugs

this is from last year. How convenient that the city claims homeless individuals rejected shelter when offered it, when the easier thing to do is to open shelter for anyone who wants it.

city's claim is bs btw. There's no available homeless shelter to take people in. Just silly PR and lying from the libertarian assholes in SF to manufacture a reason to either kill or drive homeless out.

“There’s no way for a person to voluntarily try to access a (shelter) bed at this point in San Francisco,” Ryu said at a hearing in Oakland on Thursday, referring to the “undisputed fact” that the city currently does not let homeless people sign up for shelter themselves. They only get into shelter when the city reaches out to them first.
