Why does he have to feel insulted? There is always a learning curve in a new country.

My first day in USA, I went to Taco Bell by myself and a nalla pilla was at counter.

 - Did not understand anything in Menu 

 - Did not understand what the girl was saying. It was fast and a lot of slang.

 - Took a long time to understand "For here or to-go". 

Somehow managed to order a meal, and eat there. Its a constant learning process.
