you can buy and it will work , digital lo free games konni untayi like fortnite etc , you might have to pay some $3 a month for some sub to access online 

You can buy like catrdidges/physical/memory card ones it ranges from $40 to $60

Popular ones Super mario 3d, Zelda , mine craft , Soniqie , fortniteetc I am not into games maa odiki apud apdu ipistha 

so apart from console you might have to buy him some games to start with good thing his it has handheld and tv console kids will love it but 9 antunav kabati may be you can upgrade to play station/ xbox etc
