Buffet a;so made a  lot of bad investments over years. One i remember from recent years and is well known is IBM.

Don’t underestimate his IBM investment. It’s a dividend play for him. hefty 5% dividend for common stock holders. God knows what terms he negotiated. He put money in that company when they desperately needed

He got out long back with a loss. He also made a statement he does not understand that business and accepted his mistake in investing in it.
