Not looking to walk away as we liked the house and are planned to move in. We initially planned to do downpayment of 20% and planned with that budget while keeping the rest for emergency funds. 

Ippudu appraisal oka 4% low vachindi home price kante so that will make us change our down payment to adjust the gap and expect an increase in monthly payments.

Other than this any other options?

 

this is why you should not get attached to a house

if 40k(1M asking price) doesn't hurt you, put it on top of down payment

or talk to your relator(you're paying them and let them do their work) and put pressure on seller to negotiate, in this market they should consider

Not everywhere uncle, Ade kada tricky…inventory plays a big role…can’t talk abt in general but Bay Area lo still most of the homes bidding is ther and are going over the list price. My friends closed two homes in last 1 month both are over the list price

Livermore baga perigayi bro….some home are of good size n lots compared to rest of the Bay Area, so many listing are over 1.8M the ones on 84 and concannon blvd
