Gap of stay on B2/B1 Visa

Hello Friends,

I have a question..My parents were here in USA for an year on visting visa(B1) last year and if they want to visit again to US, is it true that there should be a 1 year gap and not 6 months?I was told that for 6 months stay their should be a 6 month gap and for 1year stay they can only come back after an year..can anyone confirm if this true?TIA

No rule like that but if frequently coming after 6 months gap, it could become a problem at port of entry. They have right to deny entry if not given proper reason.
