Entire Sonali's episode was totally copied from "What Women Want" movie. Flashback episode original and hence it was boring.

Trivikram english movies nunchi chala copy/paste vuntaayi ...  but he escapes since he has strong grip on telugu language and dialogues and prasalu are top notch though some times they go overboard.

This movie is far far way from any critisicm in my view. Its a cult classic, irrespective of it collected big money or not.

Every frame of the movie has something to offer.

"They have paid no?", "Lavangam gari episode", "Love cheyyaalsi vochindhi"...they will remain forever in the minds of the people.

True!

Almost all movies were inspired from foreign cinema, but as you said the main strength of tricikram is his command on telugu language

I genuinely do not respect Trivikram as a director. It is almost shameful how blatantly he copies from foreign movies - one example is Julayi  - where there's an action episode which he lifted completely from The Dark Knight.

Especially for a guy who is touted as "pandithudu", "gnani" etc., it just reflects his intellectual hollowness and laziness.

Now on the flip side - he is truly an extraordinary dialogue writer in Telugu. He single handedly changed how Telugu dialogues are written and spoken in movies.  He packs very deep philosophies in simple - easy to understand - Telugu sentences. I loved his writing style especially in the late 1990's and the first decade of 21st century. His dialogues in Nuvvu Naaku Naachav, Manmadhudu and Athadu - are unquestionably all time classics. And it appears that lyric writers shine the brightest in Trivikram's movies because they claim to be inspired by Trivikram's deep knowledge and grip over Telugu language.

Bottomline is that I have mixed feelings about him. Hopefully with global coverage of Telugu cinema now - he is scared into not copying from foreign movies.
