This is 40 ani movie untundi. Shows american lifestyle and how they live. No matter how much they make, they always spend more. Asalu money ekkadaki potundo kuda teleedu vallaki. 

I believe you can have a comfortable and enjoyable life even with 100k yearly salary. Its all the choices you make.

It's the credit card disease , most people here buy anything they want immediately with the cars on EMI

They don't need to buy a new 80k$ truck every 3 years but they do it anyway

I dont think Desis are becoming like this. We save money. We focus more on kids education and living with in means. However there might be a few new age kids who might be getting into this life style.

People here do not hesitate to spend on travel and enjoyment, coming from a poor country we have some subconscious guilt that prevents us from spending too much on travel and enjoyment so we restrict ourselves to beer, biryani and movies. different stokes for different folks I guess.
