I liked Vikram with Kamal, Fafa, and VJS. New gen action film with no age-gap romances or item songs. 

Jailer was overhyped. Rajini character didn't make sense. Wasted cameo of Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar. Sun TV made fake rivalry between Rajini and VIjay. In the end, they got public money.

He signed 3 movie contract with mythri after arjun reddy. He was paid 4 cr for each. After he signed these, geeta govindham released. Mythri in good faith, paid him market rate (8cr) for both Dear Comrade and World Famous lover. Producer may not have lost but distributors lost in both movies esp WFL. See the timelines.

Not really but most of his friends were in Congress and  in one of the interviews, he did say that YSR offered MLA ticket but he refused. I think it was Medak MLA ticket….

Arjun Reddy producer may have made a lot of money with the Hindi version. but only a reasonable profit with the Telugu version. I'm just guessing ofcourse. lion's share goes to the big studios always.. never to the small producer. that's how the game is rigged.

the only way a small producer makes a huge profit is when his surprise hit gets a huge payout on ott.. the theatrical collections are rigged to favour the big producers.

I liked Dear comrade even better than GG. Director made movie lengthy and its like watching 2 diff movies in 1st and 2nd half. You are correct abt WFL. Perhaps it was only a 2 movie contract between Mythri and VD. Somehow it registered as 3 in my mind. WFL is a disaster. Kondanna ela oppukunnado aa movie.

Another mistake is making Liger with Puri. Puri is done long back. Temper, Businessman, iSmart Shanker - horrible movies but they became hit. 

He is back on track with Kushi. I sensed this movie will be a hit. Coz of songs and director and VD does well in romantic movies.
