We humans have biases based on which we operate and live our lives. Knowingly or unknowingly we get associated to brands and start to trust them. cars, phones, leaders etc. However I was thinking about movie reviews. It's given that great movies are released once in a blue moon and most movies are at best average.

Social media basically an attention economy and reviewers these days exaggerate quiet a bit. It seems to me that most of it is negative. Have the movie goers trust too much on reviewers and lost their ability to judge movie by themselves. Surely money cannot be an issue as people spend money on lots of nonsensical things and going to movie once a month should not trouble one's bank account.

It seems to me that people are waiting for reviewers to give a stamp of approval as if it is objective analysis. These reviewers have assumed the status of all knowing gurus and are even started lecturing about morality these days. How bad is it to go to a movie and watch it and trash talk about if you don't like it?

"Movie ela undanta" is a common phrase these days.

What do you guy think?

Good analysis bro.. movie ela vundi and curiosity meeda build ayuna over action idhi..

movie itself is drama and time is precious so reviews are helpful ... they are like 1st filter ... and then its not like review decides the fate of movie as talk baguntee no one cares reviews...

so 1st filter is review and 2nd filter is collection of movie....  that gives some sort of idea whether to watch movie or not..
