A love triangle triggered the murder of a junior film artist, who went missing on August 13, and his body was found on a desolate patch at Old Airport Road, Bowenpally, on Saturday.
He was allegedly killed by a YouTuber and three others, who were arrested by Jubilee Hills police.

The aspiring artist, K Karthik, 18, was a native of Mahabubabad and was residing at Venkatagiri area of Yousufguda.

On August 16, Jubilee Hills police received a complaint that Karthik was inaccessible and his phone out of reach for three days. Police launched a probe, but remained clueless despite questioning his friends and scouring his last mobile location. Few days ago, investigators zeroed in on a 20-year-old YouTuber, Toleti Sai. After sustained interrogation, Sai confessed to having murdered Karthik along with three friends.

On Sai's tipoff, police reached Fateh Nagar and nabbed his accomplices - Koppala Suresh, Nakka Jagadish and Majji Raghu. "We went to the crime scene and unearthed bones, torn fabrics and other body remains. We also found a knife used in the crime. Bone remnants were sent for forensic analysis," deputy commissioner of police (west zone) Joel Davis said.
The accused, Sai, told police he decided to kill Karthik since he was seeing a girl with whom he was in love. She too was a junior artist in the film industry. As per plan, Sai and his friends lured Karthik to come to Ameerpet and collect her articles. When Karthik met the accused, he was driven to Bowenpally, where his throat was slit, and body dumped. Karthik's cell phone was taken by the accused to stall mobile surveillance, but law caught up with them.
