YCP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy rubbished allegations that Opposition leader and TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest was an act of political retribution. At the same time, he also denied rumours that the YCP government’s next target was Naidu’s son Lokesh in connection with the Inner Ring Road, FibreNet Case and Skill Development Case.

What will Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy gain by arresting all these worthless leaders? What advantage will Jagan have by arresting them? Are they any match to him, he asked.

Jagan is always a straight forward man who would like to fight it out in the public. He does not like to frame political rivals in cases and trouble them like Naidu, Sajjala said.

“In fact, it was Naidu was resorted to vendetta politics. Right after the death of Jagan’s father and former CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan was still trying to solve issues with the Congress party, console the families which have been crying over the death of YSR. At that time, Naidu got close with the ruling Congress and tried to put Jagan to all hardships. That is political vengeance. Jagan is not used to such mean ways of handling matters,” he reminded.

Why should Jagan fear Naidu and his party? Naidu pretty well knows that he cannot survive by his own. He has to have the support of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on one side and that of Modi on the other side. Chandrababu is trying to beg for support from the BJP even when it is not ready to give, he said.

“Lokesh has not won at least as a ward member. For that matter, I too did not win but Lokesh is claiming that he would serve the people and I am not,” Sajjala clarified.

If Naidu has the guts, ask him to field his party candidates from all the 175 constituencies and go alone in the polls. That will be a straight fight and the YCP will then get ready to discuss something with him. Even then Jagan would not fear Naidu. He would then welcome Naidu for being ready for a transparent fight with a leader equal to his stature.”

Naidu needs the support of several parties and individuals, apart from the ‘yellow media’ to face the elections. The YCP is not interested in putting Naidu in jail for 10 days or 40 days. What will we gain by doing so? Why would any party fear Naidu or his party, Sajjala asked.
