that is your selling point. and ask your leaving manager to back you up if he is willing to do. First get his opinion if you are ready to be manager. if he says yes then ask him to put your name . if he doesn't say yes even then put your points why you are ready.

also understand management will try to give you the responsibility but not the role now. And when they give you the role they will do small hike in pay. Market baledu kada

IF you are interested in the role, you should show interest. If not for this role, you could be considered for a managers job down the road. Approach your current manager and talk about your interest. Setup meeting with his/her boss and let you know. Be prepared for the interview. Understand the role of a manager.

  • Budgeting. Understanding finance terms like Opex, capex, etc. Get familiarized.
  • How do you manage Resource allocation to different projects
  • Your approach to Grooming resources via 1:1's.
  • Your approach for the projects
  • Your approach on issue resolution with different teams.
  • Resource conflicts with in team. How do you address them.
  • What makes you unique as a manager.

Throw your hat in the ring.

7. **Apply for Managerial Roles**: Keep an eye out for job openings for managerial positions. Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight your leadership and relevant experience.

8. **Interview Preparation**: Be prepared for interviews by showcasing your managerial potential. Discuss how you've handled challenges, led teams, and achieved results.

9. **Show Initiative**: Even before becoming a manager, take on leadership roles in projects or teams. This can demonstrate your ability to lead and manage effectively.

10. **Stay Informed**: Stay updated on industry trends and management best practices. Continuous learning is essential in management.
