how to become a Manager ?

the first prerequisite is, you need to be talkative - not reserved. If you are not an extrovert, it would be terrible as a manager and a mismatch. If you are reserved and not management material, try for an architect's role.

Becoming a manager typically involves a combination of education, experience, and certain skills. Here are steps to help you become a manager:

1. **Education**: Many managers have at least a bachelor's degree, although it can vary by industry and organization. Consider pursuing a degree in a field relevant to your desired career path.

2. **Gain Relevant Experience**: Start in entry-level positions within your chosen field to gain practical experience and learn about the industry. You'll often need several years of experience before becoming a manager.

3. **Develop Leadership Skills**: Managers need strong leadership skills. Work on improving your communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.

4. **Networking**: Build a professional network within your industry. Attend industry events, join relevant associations, and connect with peers and mentors who can offer guidance and support.

5. **Mentorship**: Seek out a mentor who is an experienced manager. They can provide valuable insights and advice on your career path.

6. **Continuing Education**: Consider taking courses or obtaining certifications related to management. This can demonstrate your commitment to growth and development in your field.

7. **Apply for Managerial Roles**: Keep an eye out for job openings for managerial positions. Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight your leadership and relevant experience.

8. **Interview Preparation**: Be prepared for interviews by showcasing your managerial potential. Discuss how you've handled challenges, led teams, and achieved results.

9. **Show Initiative**: Even before becoming a manager, take on leadership roles in projects or teams. This can demonstrate your ability to lead and manage effectively.

10. **Stay Informed**: Stay updated on industry trends and management best practices. Continuous learning is essential in management.

11. **Be Patient**: Becoming a manager often takes time, so be patient and persistent in your pursuit of this career goal.

Remember that the path to becoming a manager can vary widely depending on your industry and the specific organization you're interested in. Tailor your approach to fit your goals and circumstances.

In my experience, 3, 4, 9, 7, 8 are most important. 5, 6, 19, 11 help you grow at management level. 1, 2 not much relevant.

I disagree. I have seen some efficient managers who talk less and are introverts. They are humble, talk to the point, no-nonsense, grounded, etc.

If someone hates to talk to ppl, its a diff thing. Architect is better for them.
