Thoughts on PVNR book “Insider” or “Lopali Manishi”

i think a lot of middle class (actually those elite that call themselves middle class like in this db) self aggrandizing fcuktards would like this book.

it deals with all topics with a certain level of simple mindedness and delusional grandiosity that is attractive to them.

this book removed all the halo my parents forced on me regarding pvnr. main thing is that he was a very poor writer in english. Nehru's letters were so well written in contrast.

it wasn't much later that I realized that pvnr was a sanghi.

gurtu ledhu bro...we discussed...here in this thread..

but i will read those pages again..let you know..

I really want to know. That Shekhar character sounds interesting. Apparently he was a bastard child. But rose to the ranks of power with cunning nature.

I would rather hear his story 😀.

note...some character in that book is fictional and some are real...

PVNR himslef changed his name to Aanandh...so we may or may not find shekhar character in real life...

but thanks for reminding this book...if possible i will revist those shekar pages...in that book again...(its been a while..)

or you can serach the thread which we discussed previously..which i provided..may be we may discussed that already...

In the book, he was a leftist fighting against Nizam and doralu turned Congress leaders. Dunno when he changed.

TBH, I haven’t read any other of his works in English.

did you read completely this book? …but i read this book two years back…

as far as i remember…

he explained himself his affair…with other lady(politician) (illegal)

he exposed kaasu brahamananda reddy and neelam sanjeev reddy politics and charcters…and indira regime…

he explained from nijam ruling to భూ సేకరణ చట్టం …

there is part 2 supose to be released…but it didn’t happen…

I mean both Kasu and Neelam were his political rivals. I don’t expect him to lavishly praise them. But PVNR portrayed them very poorly in comparison to his own character. What would those two have written about each other and PVNR?

I don’t know how legit the allegations that Neelam goru was a feudal casteist.

I don’t know how legit the allegations that Kasu goru was a corrupt schemer.

Somehow communists claim that pvnr is feudalist . He favoured them Ani antaru

PVNR claims Neelam was feudal. I think he implied that his lover’s brother was a feudal Dora turned MLA.

Who was Shekhar supposed to be?

Read this book almost 14/15 years ago. I have no memory of the Shekhar character. I need to find my copy of the book from the attic next time.

One thing we should not forget is the insider is not a biography. It's fiction. He did use a few of the incidents from his own life. The rest could just be fiction. As for the overall standard, it might be a little better than a Chetan Bhagat book.
