Who is the Shekar character supposed to be? Is it Chenna Reddy, Janardhan Reddy, or Razanna?

Chenna Reddy, I guess. Janardhan Reddy/Razanna are quite young. They had not entered politics by 1970's which was when PVNR became the CM. It should be Chenna Reddy or a amalgamation of a few people including MCR.

I mean Shekar in the book was described as quite corrupt. Chenna, Janardhan and Razanna came to mind.

Yeah. Chenna may be. There were several allegations about land grabbing by Chenna and M.Satya Narayana. Could be one of those anukunta.

There are 3 notable politicians based on real people who impacted his early career as MLA and CM.

Mahendranath is current powerful CM. Described like medieval king because he is stubborn, iron-handed, and intolerant. Modelled on Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy.

Chowdary is rival of Mahendranath. Described like contemporary politician because ambitious, cunning, and ideologically flexible. Modelled on Kasu Brahmananda Reddy.

Shekhar was young right hand man of Chowdary. Described as a goon with similar character to Chowdary. No idea who this character was based on.

I don’t know how legit the allegations that Neelam goru was a feudal casteist.
