ChatGPT answer -

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, auto high beam systems, also known as automatic high beams or adaptive headlights, were generally legal in the United States.

it is legal. There is a certain distance when approaching a vehicle that you need to switch off. The intelligence system must be doing the same.

Not just opposite. Same direction as well. When you are behind a certain car, you need to switch it off. If I am not wrong the distance is 200yards for same direction moving vehicles and 400/600 yards for opposite direction vehicles. License exam book lo vuntundi.
