Air India Kanishka bombing, the worst was actually averted by mid handling a baggage.

It was planned for a simultaneous attack on twin planes but fortunately only one exploded mid air. The other one exploded in the baggage handling area or else two being 747’s would have exploded mid air and atleast 600 people would have died in the incident. It’s still one of the most grafici act of terror.
