The last time Canada acted like US lapdog arresting Huawei CFO, only to be left to fend for itself. The Chinese aggression towards Canada was much harsher during that time.. including arresting Canadian tourists in China and later doing a deal with that.

US acting like a lame duck this time too means Canada will wake up to create alliances across the atlantic and even in Asia and India (when a non fascist govt comes to power).

This is overall good for Canada.
