If new members are added I doubt if they can see the history.

secondly Salesforce is just one example they have bots for 100s of applications or your can write your own bot because they provide dev tools for that

They can see history , teams group admin has the ability to select this option .

You say it’s visibility I say it’s spamming .

You can say what ever you want, but its the best IM tool in the market.
btw if you think its spamming you can always leave that channel or archive it and star the channels which are important for your work

teams can retain history , but it's very bad at accessing months old chats.

integration with Salesforce is one selective feature, only useful to salesforce folks.

BTW i have never used Slack. But I love teams.

Slack can feel a bit chaotic when channels are overused, and keeping up with threads can be tricky. For my team, though, it’s been really useful once we set up proper notifications and created channels for specific topics. It’s not perfect, but it integrates well with tools we already use, like Google Drive, and the mobile app makes it easy to stay connected.

We switched to Slack because it gave us more flexibility, especially with remote work. The slack pricing insights I found showed the Pro plan worked best for us, and we’ve been able to grab a few discounts that helped us save some money.
