To be completely fair, mukkodi oratory skills and his leadership qualities were the backbone of the TG movement. After some point, even he became a mere spectator. People from all walks of life owned it.

Only 2 viable CM candidates for Telangana Congress. What a fall from grace. Telangana Congress is not a family party unlike INC, TRS, YCP or TDP. They need multiple strong leaders at state level.

Back in 80s-90s, Congress had multiple strong leaders like Chenna Reddy, Janardhan Reddy, YSR, etc

very horrible police repression. one can argue that the movement itself forced the center to yield, coz they got tired of repressing people's voice - atleast the ones that were continuously shouting.

current modi govt wouldnt have yielded. they would've created a riot, like in Delhi and put major people behind the movement behind bars over trumped up charges for life.

people underestimate how relatively more democratic Congress was, even after 10yrs of BJP.
