But green revolution is the root cause of excessive use of pesticides and insecticides on food crops indiscriminately. Yes it solved world hunger. But it ended real food as the world knew and started chemicals in food.

Great man , india also had a lot of help from international organisations like IRRI that helped green revolution 

IR8 rice variety was an international miracle , traditional  varities rice yield was just 1 ton average in those days , IR8 was able to give 2 to 3 tons and immediately made india self sufficient in rice production 

Even to this day not many varities have higher yield potential than IR8

If you want organic food , there are plenty of people who will grow it for you.

Just put your money where your mouth is and pay 2 to 3 times higher cost for it
