Plants are living organisms, yeah. but they are not sentient. only sentient beings can feel pain, experience suffering. there are also degrees of sentience.

its a long hard debate one can have with oneself. simply saying that I have the right to eat, and that vegans who want you to stop doing it as having no moral high ground is just delusional.

if you are okay with eating animals with the sentience of a rooster, then are you okay with eating a dog? a cat? Can I kidnap your dog and eat it, and you'd be okay with it?

the only way you can claim that eating meat is fine is if you completely avoid all moral questions around hurting animals. if you don't care about animals at all. at that point, you are just a psycho.

a more honest thing to do is to accept that you cause untold suffering to the animal you eat, and accept that you are an asshole, and eat. something that our db most respectable dumbfcuking pr1ck @dasari4kntr is not able to accept.
