Pew says it is 60% Indians who are non vegetarians. In the 40% they consider vegetarians they also consider people that don't eat non veg on certain days or have other restrictions. Even by that standard, they are in the minority. 

Coming to institutional power, I am surprised what makes you say that. Do you think all the institutions have heads who are vegetarians that pass rules favourable to only vegetarians? How do you arrive at that assertion? I am interested in understanding your perspective as I think you go by logic.

Coming to the moral stance on veganism and vegetarianism, I am in agreement with your stance. What surprises me is how quickly an argument on vegetarians turns into a Brahmin hegemony discussion with very scant respect to truths.

Personally, I am against everyone that says one thing is superior over the other. There is no argument greater than the other. Everyone should have an autonomy of thought and should be able to live life by their own rules. The rules set by the basic construct like a constitution should be adhered to, to ensure that their is social harmony and what they do regarding the others is entirely their own. Why does anyone want to impose their own reality onto others? 

Our telugodu bro espouses his half baked, half assed theories in every topic. His drivel knows no bounds. Vegetarians don't stand on a pedestal and have no grounds to say, they are better or they hold the moral high ground. But, at the same time, I stand by their personal choice in case they don't want to be sitting at the same table. If they are in enough numbers to get their request passed, it's their own. Others should not have a problem with it. As Telugodu bro says, if they don't have a problem with this in the US, it is their prerogative as long as they are not forcing you to follow their lifestyle. If restaurants in the US have Kosher dishes or cook only Halal meat, it is their own choice. If there are vegetarian restaurants catering to the needs, it is driven by market. If there is no market, they will close down automatically. Why would one have to force their bias onto others. This holds good for both sides.

Houses are denied for rents because people eat some chicken, Even i personally compromised many times to accommodate the weird food issues of vegetarians.

No where have i seen non-veg people harassing or discrimination anyone becuase they dont eat non-veg.

You dont know the meaning of personal choice. And they are already forcing - reading my comment where i mentioned all of institutions which force the people coming in to eat vegg only food because of sensitivities of tiny percentage.
