For every 100 tables 20 tables must be reserved for veg only. Strict fine of 10k if any kid brings  non-veg food  to veg table.

For every 20 tables of veg 10 tables must be reserved for non-garlic, non-onion eaters. Strict fine and if onion/garlic bought by a veggie fellow then 50k fine must be imposed.

For every 10 tables of non-garlic non -onion , 5 tables must be reserved for non-root eating jains. Again strict fines and if non-onion,non-garrlic idiot brings a potato to jain table he will be fined 50k.

If all non-veg tables are taken up but  veg tables are empty then non-veg 17-18 year olds who cleared JEE must be made to wait until they get their non-veg table and not occupy veg one.

Finally if thingara people like @veerigadu  and @RSUCHOU and their family members who claim to fully sympathize such nonsense and support by using examples  of muslims, jews gatra violate these rules they must be fined 1 lakh and their children must have heads shaved in shame.

indians call this madness as respecting other cutlures. THis respect also includes murdering people for eating beef or eating that.

Well, you don't understand the difference between personal choice and enforcing your so called justice. If I wish to abstain from not eating something, it's my personal choice and as long as it's not being enforced upon others to follow my wishes,I have every right to exercise my choice. If there are enough numbers, what's the harm in having separate spaces for having vegetarian food? As long as vegetarians don't use this to ridicule.

In my life at hostels, it was always the other way round. Non vegetarians always ridiculed vegetarians and they would always try and force feed the vegetarians. I haven't come across any instance where a vegetarian discriminated a non vegetarian. Even in China, your favourite country, there are vegetarian restaurants, vegetarian tables at restaurants. As long as people keep their food choices to themselves and not try and enforce their choice on others, it's easier. If not, these unnecessary discussions follow. I have been a vegetarian all my life and I had/have no problem sitting at the same table as my non vegetarian friends. I don't force them and they don't either. There are other friends that find it uncomfortable. They go find their own places to eat. It's their personal choice and we should not have a problem with that. In a hostel, there should be enough acceptance.

If you don't understand acceptance as a student, how the hell are you going to be open to diverse views and points in your professional life?

What is there to lie. I was/am a vegetarian all my life. While I can't predict the future, there is a very good chance that I will remain a vegetarian too. That said, what relevance does my being a vegetarian have in this context?

The chronology is simple. Vegetarians had a separate table designated, some non vegetarians felt it's discriminatory and broke the rule. As would be appropriate, a fine was levied. Break the rules, pay the price. A vegetarian who was offended wrote an email in angst. Some bloke didn't pay heed even after being requested to. What's so complex?
