Jagan on TDP-JSP pact: Adding 2 zeros will get only zero!

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday said the so-called alliance between Telugu Desam Party headed by N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalyan will have absolutely no impact on the YSRCP or the people of the state.

“Adding two zeroes or four zeros would result only in an absolute zero. Let Chandrababu Naidu, his foster son (Dattaputrudu), or anybody come together, the result would still be zero as they had no intention to do good to the people,” Jagan said, while addressing a massive meeting of the party leaders at Vijayawada.

Mocking at the proposed TDP-Jana Sena alliance in the next elections, the chief minister said that these political entities carry zero credibility and their coming together can only result in bigger zero.

“The TDP-Jana Sena alliance will not have any adverse impact on YSRCP,” he said.

Jagan pointed out that while the TDP has no achievements to its credit, Jana Sena doesn’t have even flag-bearers or candidates to contest in all 175 constituencies, he said, adding that their electoral alliance makes no difference for YSRCP.

“Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has also had a share in the corruption of Chandrababu Naidu and is a partner in the economic offences of the former Chief Minister,” he said.

Talking about Naidu's arrest, Jagan clarified that people were wrongly attributing it to be an act of political vendetta.

"I have nothing to do with Chandrababu Naidu's arrest, nor do I hold any grudge against him. Naidu's arrest is not an act of revenge; it's a matter of legal accountability. I was in London when Naidu was arrested,” he said.

If Naidu believed his arrest was politically motivated, he could have easily secured bail. He has strong connections with the BJP at the Centre, and his party claims an alliance with the BJP.

“Furthermore, his closest family member heads the state BJP, and a significant portion of the state BJP consists of former TDP leaders,” he pointed out.

He continued, "the Central agencies such as the ED and Income Tax department conducted an inquiry and uncovered Naidu's alleged wrongdoing. Income Tax also issued notices to Naidu. Once the Modi government became aware of Naidu's corruption, they launched an inquiry into his government.”

Jagan reminded that the YSRCP was in the opposition at that time.

“Naidu, as Chief Minister, barred CBI, ED, and IT from entering Andhra Pradesh. Despite substantial evidence against him, he evaded investigation,” he said.

He alleged that yellow media and the yellow thieves’ gang are misleading the public by claiming that Naidu's arrest is illegal.

“It is essential to debunk these claims and present the truth to the people. Supporting Naidu, who is accused of misusing public funds and betraying the people repeatedly, would be a grave injustice to the poor,” he added.
