Yesterday I attended Falguni Pathak dandiya event in bay area which was attended by  around 12000 people. The event was traumatic experience for me. It was grossly mismanaged. The parking line to enter the event was 2 hrs long as they did not have enough people to charge parking fees and manage the lines. The hall was so crowded with no place to dance and people stamping on each other. The hall capacity was only 6000 but they over sold the tickets. The food counter experience was the most horrifying. There were no lines and crowd just falling on food tables. The pushing and squishing reminded me of indian temples experience.  I decided to give up on my food tickets that I bought ahead of time as I could no longer fight the crowd to get food. I am so outraged wasting my weekend and money on this event. Today I see posts from the event organizers about the successful event and people pouring in congratulations and appreciating them on how well they successfully managed the event. Am I the only one unhappy about the event? Is this how our cultural events are organized?
